What is the difference between health care administration and medical billing and coding?
Billing and coding is about what it says. You would do billing using the Dr notes etc by looking up the Procedure codes and Diagnosis codes. There is a bit more to it but in a nutshell that is it. The degree should you pursue it is an associates.





Generally Health Care Administrators actually run the offices, they can run a hospital a clinic etc. They are more supervisory in that they make sure the people under them are carrying out there jobs. Generally this requires a Bachelors at least.
Reply:Health care admin in the person who does the check in and out (front office). Medical billing works with insurace companies to get the bills coded the right way before the bills are send out.
