I'm taking the corse medical coding and billing from penn foster and I recently heard that some hosptials dont hire people who take these online courses IS THIS TRUE???
Has anyone graduated pennfoster online medical coding and billing?
I dont know if anyone has graduated from Penn Foster, but yes I have heard that alot of places hospitals,doctors offices, etc dont hire people who do some online schools however I did do alot of research on online schools and Penn Foster was the only one that accredited, although they do not do grants they are an accredited school...
On another note have you done the law and ethics parts of your course yet.. I am having the worse luck finding the answer to question #3. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Reply:If the course isn't accredited and you can't use become certified through AHIMA or AAPC, then it's unlikely that a hospital will hire you directly after graduation. You should check with the two main certifying agencies and see if the school qualifies.
