Is there a coding I can attach to a message that will notify me when the receiver opens it & what is the code?

On AOL I used to be able to see when the receiver of my message opened my email, so is there a code I can attach to my email to bounce back if that person I sent email to opened it? Let me know coding and if there is such a thing and where I can find it. Thanks. Easy 10 pointer.

It doesn't work with Yahoo Mail Classic or New Yahoo Mail. Mail plus has the read receipt option, but it is not a free service.

Note: even when using mail plus or any of the other mail progs, you do not have the guaranty that you get a read receipt because a recipient can opt out of sending such notices. Reason behind this: by denying a read receipt, you make sure that spammers don't know whether they hit a real mail address.

There is a program called "SpyPig" which could help you get read receipts. But it only works if both sender and receiver allow html-mail. Because in html-mail you can include tracking cookies which notify you when an e-mail is opened. It's exactly the kind of program SPAMMERS use, and therefore you should never allow html-mail...
